Nourished in Concord, NH

I found my self well nourished in our state's capitol last week. If you're in Concord, NH and are looking for something a bit more fresh and nourishing than the standard fare - check out Live Juice!

Now that the weather is warmer, local farms are producing vegetables, and my garden is well under way I like to bring is fresh juice into my life. Fresh juice is packed with nutrients that can be delivered quickly into your bloodstream. Juicing takes large amounts of produce and eliminates the pulp, which in turn eliminates the need for all that chewing and digesting. Who is eating extra pounds of produce anyways plus what do we do with all that extra kale and cucumbers from our garden? Here is the juicer I use - it gets the job done.

This phrase comes from 7th grade science class when we all learned about photosynthesis. Chlorophyll is the first energy byproduct of the sun. So, when you sip a green juice or smoothie, you are consuming its liquid energy in the purest form possible. Your cells thank you!

All Green from Live Juice

When you embark on juicing focus on green vegetables as your base. Celery, cucumbers, and dark leafy greens such as kale, spinach, parsley and cilantro. Green should make up 75% or more of your juice. I would highly recommend using organic produce since you are creating a concentrated elixir that will be absorbed fast by your bodies systems. You can keep your juice green or at the end add any of the following for variation and flavor:

  • Apple

  • Lemon/Lime

  • Garlic

  • Ginger

  • Beet

  • Carrot
